A few nights ago my Mother and I couldn't help but indulge in watching a four hour documentary on the life of Walt Disney. And gosh, did he face problems.
When I applied for the BYU Animation program and found out that my sketchbook had been missing, and that it had never even been seen by the staff, I knew immediately I wouldn't get in. I knew it was unlikely I'd get in anyway, but I was hoping I'd at least be asked to reapply. Alas, I received my rejection letter (at least I found my sketchbook), and I was devastated.
I wouldn't be able to apply again for an entire YEAR. What was I going to do? Well, now I work two jobs, I'm back in school, I continue to draw, and I keep moving forward. What else can I do really?
Maybe I'll never get in the program, but I sure as heck am gonna keep pursuing what I love to do. Anyway, I'll get off my soapbox now. Here are some drawings from my most recent sketchbook:

I was really anxious for school to start again this fall. I feel like I'm accomplishing things when I'm at school.

I really like this duck for some reason. My nieces were watching Mickey Mouse at the time so it was loosely based off Daisy

I've been attempting Inktober. It's taught me a lot about linework!
