A million and two things to do

Since the end of school I've had a ton of extra time to draw. It's flipping fantastic. One thing I regret however is not finishing 'The Smash Bretheren' (Four pieces I was requested to do during the school year). Well, that's not entirely true. I had all four of them finished shortly after they were requested, but they were absolute junk. I know what you're thinking, "Heather whatever. They probably weren't even bad at all."

To a certain point, I am a perfectionist in my artwork. I ended up doing these four pieces about a dozen times each, every single one in a different style. I still have one to finish, but I figure I might as well start posting them.

Hence, Luckyman.

This was a concept of a Superhero of my own creation called Black Emerald.

More sketchy concept stuff.

Oh Ness, you rascal.

I'm not sure why I'm uploading this. It's really just me just trying grasp colors in a landscape. I wish I was better at landscapes.

These next ones are from my sketchbook. Sorry about the quality, I really wish I had a functional scanner currently...

Let's get one thing clear. I love Power Puff Girls with all my heart, but how the heck do they walk around on those little nubs with the enormous weight of their heads?

That's all for now folks! :)

Remember

You know that Harry Nilsson song in You've Got Mail? This one

I remember growing up listening to that song, that and the other songs on that soundtrack, during road trips because that's what my Mom dictated. It's so remarkably sad, and I love it that way. Sappy sad songs are my weakness. Where many of my generation would cringe at the thought of listening to Barry Manilow, I often fall asleep to wonderfully slushy songs like Weekend in New England and Mandy.

The music often reflects in my doodles, which by the way, this blog is dedicated to since I didn't really 'splain that before.
I'm really not depressed, I promise. I just find a strange beauty about sad things.

Did a couple face studies. They were extremely fun. :)

This... I don't even know. I was kinda sick at the time.

I made this for a friend. She really liked it. :D

Another piece for a friend.

Have a lovely day! I plan on spending the rest of today to my pal Barry, snuggling up in some quilts, and reading Harry Potter.
